Double Orifice Air Release Valve is designed to efficiently manage air in pressurized pipeline systems by performing two critical air-handling functions within a single valve body. It releases large volumes of air during pipeline filling and admits air during draining, while continuously discharging small pockets of entrapped air under normal operating conditions.
The large orifice allows rapid air discharge and intake during pipeline filling and emptying, preventing vacuum formation and protecting pipelines from collapse. The small orifice automatically releases accumulated air during normal operation, reducing air pockets that cause flow restriction, pressure loss, vibration, and water hammer.
Double Orifice Air Release Valve supplied by GCC Valves are widely used in water transmission lines, pumping stations, irrigation networks, district cooling systems, and utility pipelines across KSA, UAE, and the wider GCC region. Their robust design ensures reliable operation under fluctuating pressures and demanding site conditions commonly encountered in regional infrastructure projects.
By maintaining optimal hydraulic conditions, these valves improve pipeline efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and enhance system reliability. Properly installed at high points in the pipeline, Double Orifice Air Release Valves play a vital role in extending pipeline service life and ensuring safe, uninterrupted operation.
